Albuquerque Restaurants (New Mexican Food Only!)

El Pinto
Twin brothers Jim and John Thomas purchased the El Pinto restaurant from their parents in 1994 and continue to use the same family recipes created by their grandmother, Josephina Chavez-Griggs. To build on the success of the restaurant and to meet the strong demand for their sauces, Jim and John were motivated to produce them for retail distribution.

They started the El Pinto Foods' salsa division in 2000, so people throughout the country could enjoy El Pinto Salsa and Green Chile Sauce at home. The brothers' first production site consisted of a 35 gallon kettle and a pump in the kitchen. Today, El Pinto uses 120 tons of chiles a year, makes 4,000 cases a day and have the capacity to make 3-4 million jars a year in their 8,000 square foot salsa production facility which is attached to the El Pinto restaurant.

Filibertos
Founded in 1993 Filiberto’s has served the southwest with 24 hour, fast, authentic Mexican food. Since then, there has been no comparison to the great product that Filiberto’s provides.

Filiberto’s launched their first restaurant in Mesa, Arizona in 1993. From there, the venture paid off and only a few short years later, ten other locations were providing a great Mexican selection, friendly service, and a wonderful experience. Soon enough, Filiberto’s carry out and drive thru became a Phoenix Valley essential.

Our mission is to provide each guest prompt, professional, friendly and courteous service. We are committed to maintaining clean, comfortable and well maintained premises for our guests and staff. We strive to provide a fair price and well-prepared meals using only the freshest ingredients. We strive to treat all guests and staff with the respect and dignity they deserve. By maintaining these objectives we shall be assured of a beneficial relationship with the communities we are so proud to be a part of.

Gardunos
"Nobody serves up Mexico like Garduño's". Perhaps this mantra best sums up the extraordinary success and popularity of our esteemed establishments. Time and again, we've earned the approval of our customers, as well as our peers, in garnering several People's Choice Awards and New Mexican Restaurant Association distinctions. Perhaps most remarkable has been the success of our Winrock Chile Packing Company concept, which has earned the prestige of being the highest volume Mexican restaurant in the entire country, exceeding all of our expectations.

We have established many award-winning recipes using a simple culinary philosophy - we share a great love for nature. Native ingredients are prepared fresh and flavorful at all our locations. The natural flavors given to corn, chile, beans, rice, and vegetables by the sun and the earth are the cornerstone of our cuisine. We do little to alter these flavors in our cooking process, and take great pride in each of our culinary masterpieces. The legacy of tortillas, chile, and margaritas started 30 years ago and emphasizes fresh and unique Mexican cuisine warmed in the atmosphere of Mexico. We take great pride in each of our culinary masterpieces
